I marinaded our Fillet Mignon with this marinade, as featured in the picture, for at least an hour. I then grilled it on the barbecue until medium rare. Served it up with the old standby Rosemary Potatoes and salad. It is also a great marinade for Chicken. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 6 green onions, chopped
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
- 1/4 cup Canola oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice, ground
Directions:
- In a food processor or blender, combine the green onions, onion, jalapeno pepper, soy sauce, vinegar, vegetable oil, brown sugar, thyme, cloves, nutmeg and allspice. Mix/blend until liquefied.
- Place your meat in a freezer bag and pour marinade over the meat. Close the freezer bag and slowly push the air out. Refrigerate for AT LEAST an hour.

This is such a great marinade for both chicken and steak. We’ve tried it on both..I’m thinking it would go good with pork too!!
