I love to cook
…and of course I love to eat good food too. With everyone’s hectic schedules and the amount of time devoted to jobs and other pursuits, dinner seems to be the one time where everything slows down a bit and a family comes together. Preparing and enjoying meals together when I grew up, was one of my favorite things and I continue the tradition with my own family today.
This site is just a simple repository for recipes that I come up with or happen to come across so I can easily give them to friends or refer back to later. As time goes on and I add more recipes, I’ll continue to revise ones already posted based on my personal tastes, experiences cooking the dishes and/or comments that you make regarding something you tried, changed or added.
If you find something on the site and have a suggestion about how to improve it, or even if I have completely lost the ability to communicate and you get lost in my directions, please leave me a comment as I would love to hear from you.
Enjoy!
re: Sun-dried tomato asagio pasta recipe – I really, really want to try this, but what do I do with the 1 Tbsp cornstarch mixed with water which is in the ingedient list but not the instructions? Please help – I have all the ingredients to hand and I’m hungry!! Cheers, Galah.
Oops!. How could I forget that? I have updated the recipe with the cornstarch instructions on step 3. Thanks so much for pointing this out to me galah! Hope you enjoy it!
Great site dude. I’ve tried a few things from the site and they have all been outstanding. My girlfriend loves the name! Lighting on some of your food shots could be better but otherwise great site.
Rock on!
Hungry Bastard– I love it!! Great name to remember for a recipe site! My husband and I have tried the ‘Spaghetti Sauce – Loaded’, the ‘Bastard Marinade’ (on both chicken and beef), and the ‘Whiskey Peppercorn Crab-stuffed Filet Mignon’…
ALL were very Yummy!! My favorite of the three was the Whiskey Peppercorn Crab-stuffed Filet Mignon— Filet and Crab– Excellent combination!
We all ate up the spaghetti FAST!! Thank you for taking time to post your wonderful recipes.. We will be back to try more!

hi i am doing an evalution and i picked yours out of 200 entries and i had some questions: 1) What is your name and what type of camera do you use 2) do you have another job
thanks
Hi just like “Ryan” said i am very like him and have chosen your blog to do a project on. I just need to ask some more simple questions: Where are you based and are you ellie mathews or is that just a friend whos recipe it is. If it is what is your name?
@ryan & bob My name is hungry bastard, my parents had a sick sense of humor. The camera I use most is a canon 50d. I don’t know ellie personally, but she makes a mean chicken and that dish was excellent. What kind of project are you guys doing?
